FROM THE EAST CALLING ALL BROTHERS! Brothers: This year is unlike other years. There are monumental decisions to be made and tasks to be completed. As you know our building is for sale and the building represents our lodge's nest-egg. The decisions we make today will affect the lodge for generations to come. We are lucky to have competent brothers handling this major undertaking and they deserve recognition and thanks. This is just one reason 2007 will be a pivotal year in lodge history. Other challenges we face this year include maintaining the first class ritual, coordinating social and charitable events, increasing communication and public awareness, recruiting, and promoting unity in the lodge. These are all critical factors in leaving a lasting legacy for our lodge and our craft. In order for the lodge to prosper, we need all hands pushing in the same direction. One mind, one mission, many hands. I challenge each and every brother to participate in one or more of these honorable endeavors. Your lodge needs you. Like any other organization, you only get out of it what you put in! Are you up to the challenge? Contact me to find out how you can participate. Sam Turgeon FROM THE WEST Brethren, A new year is upon us, a time of new beginnings and fresh possibilities. I am looking forward to serving as your Senior Warden for 2007, and am excited about the coming year in lodge. The Worshipful Master has a great year planned, and I hope that everyone can get to lodge at least once this year to see what is in store. Please let us know if you know a brother who would like to come to lodge but doesn't have a way to get there, and we'll do what we can to help him get to lodge. Peter Sloan FROM THE SOUTH Seasons Greetings from the South, brothers. As the new year begins it is the perfect time to recall the theme of this years' Grand Master to "Make Masonry Meaningful. Take a few minutes to think about what you can do as an individual to put these words into action, in your own life, at Compass Lodge and in your community during 2007. Remember, one of the greatest gifts we can give to others is the gift of our time. Greg Whitehouse
